Steel joists and creaking floor boards
I am moving into a steel framed 2 storey house that is about 3 years old. The first floor is newly carpeted but with creaking floor boards in various locations. My early guess is that there was not enough glue on the steel joists when the floor was laid
I was thinking of having the carpet professionaly pulled up and then trying to pehaps screw through to the steel joist then relay the carpet
I welcome suggestions to fix it especially if anyone else has had the same type of issue
