Window Sill Repair
Hi,
I am a very amateur handyman/renovator and was hoping for some expert guidance!
I have a window frame that has rotted through at the bottom from the outside through to the inside due to the wood rotting from water damage.
This has been left untreated and caused a condensation and mould problem inside.
My question is, can I chisel out the rotten wood, treat the mould with bleach, apply a wood hardener and filler, seal, paint over with an anti-mould paint and fix the problem?
Also, at the other end of the window, the plaster is coming away. Can I just re-plaster this and paint over?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul
