Expert (or at least informed) advice needed.......

I would like to clad the front, rear, side and 'ceiling' of my pitched roof carport.

My thought was to use 4.5mm cement sheet, but not sure if that is the best option.

If that is a suitable cladding, I suppose the sheets should run at 90 deg to the beams (600mm apart) but not sure if I should use battens?

What is the best way to fix the sheets, nail or screw? Do I need glue too?

I would like to enclose the side from the beam down to the neighbours gutter (grey section in photo), but want to minimise any attachment to the gal steel posts. My idea was to 'hang' the sheets from the horizontal beam.

I had also thought about putting piano hinge (or similar) at the lower edge of the rear cladding so it could be used as a 'door' - creating a storage area in the roof cavity.

TIA
