Can I lay wooden floorboards over old Cork Floor?
Hi there,
I have bought some old kauri tongue and groove floor boards which I am laying in my dining room/ kitchen. I want to know if I can lay them directly over the old cork floor. The Cork itself is layed over wooden sheets that are on joists about 1.5 m above the ground and is quite stable. It would save me a lot of work if I can go straight on top.
The other issue I have is that the floor is not very level. Is there something I can place under the floorboards to level out the sloping side?
Any other tips wouls also be welcomed!
Thanks in advance for your help!
