Default WOODWORKING QUIZ for 18 Sept 04

    Good Evening Friends,
Geodesic Domes are made up of different sizes and styles of polygons.

What two are most commonly used?

    Ralph,
the dome houses that I've worked on (all from US made kits) were made from hexagons & triangles.

Default WOODWORKING QUIZ ANSWER for 18 Sept. 04

    Good Evening Friends,
Here in the U.S. domes are built in many locations however here in the state of Ohio they didn't go over too well as I stuck $36,000 into the manufacturing of domes that interlocked on all joints and didn't sell one.

Now for the quiz, the most used polygons in the construction of geodesic dome are the use of the hexagon and pentagon. Along with half hexes and triangles in specific places.

    Thank you for your support.

    Respectfully,
    Ralph Jones Woodworking
