    The post was made in 2006, the sig line is referring to 2008. The software in this forum must update all sigs if a change is made. Weird.

    That's right. Any change in member's User Profile, such as embedded signature lines, location, avatar, etc., is applied to all posts, new and old. One bloke even changes his date of birth, to always indicate his age as one year; or at least he did for a while. That can really be weird.
