joists, timber yard only has F11 grade
I need to replace 4x2 (100x50mm) hardwood joists in the kitchen. The joists are supporting the floor load only (including fidge, benches, stone benchtop, oven etc..). Is it common to use F11 grade seasoned softwood for joists or should I hunt further to get say F17 seasoned hardwood?
