I accidently started a thread (Richard Raffan DVD)in the Computors Forum that belongs in the Woodwook - General forum. How do I go about getting it moved?

One way is to send a Private Message to a Moderator or Administrator. BUT, if there are any replies, indicate it as such, so that the Mod/Admin can move the entire thread, not just your initial post. DAMHIKT.

Thanks Joe, I notified administrators via Contact Us button just after I started the thread. So far no response, that's why I started this thread.
Do you know if there is a way to tell which moderators are logged on?

The quickest way to bring it to our attention is to report it with a short note such as please move to Blah Blah

    In general, no, John.

But for anybody, the little circle at the lower left of the profile box is coloured green if they're ON, and sort of grey/blue if OFF. The colours might vary with different skins, though. This is a built-in feature of VBulletin, I think.

The "Report Post" icon (red-border triangle) should get the attention of the next available moderator.

On the main forum page (at the bottom of the forum list) there is a "View forum leaders" link to a page that shows all the mods etc, and ofcourse the green light shows if they are on.

BTW it shows that we still have some forum leaders that haven't graced the board for a long, long time.

Righto, Peter. I thought there was something like that, but I've been using "Today's Posts" almost exclusively, and don't hit the main page much. When/if I'm away for a while, the main page will be my best resource.

    Thanks for the mental upgrade.

    Joe,

I use that as well and also the "New Posts" but when you hit the "Mark Forums read" it reverts to the main page.
