Hi all,

I'm doing a direct stick bamboo floor onto a concrete slab. I've got the carpet up and am looking at the slab and trying to work out if it is level enough. The specs say 5mm over 3m but I'm not quite sure what that means.

Just going around with a straight board, I'm seeing gaps of 2-3mm for distances of about 25cm or less. Is this going to be ok or do I need to level it? (I've seen posted here that it should be "pool table" level, which my slab is not, unless "The Castle" is your reference pool table). There are also quite a few divots along the walls where I pulled out the nails that were holding down the carpet. Are these ok to leave?

I've had a bit of a go at levelling it myself using a lasko self-levelling product, but to say I made a mess of it is an understatement, so I'd like to avoid it or get someone else to do it if I can.

All advice gratefully received.

Tom
