I am building a house at the moment as an owner builder. I will be installing a top plate on our core-filled walls but I am unsure how the roof trusses fix where there is a steel lintel over a garage door. Are trusses fixed directly to the lintel or do I need to fix a top plate (90x45KDHW) to the lintel? How is the fixing normally done? Appreciate any advice Regards Ralf
