Our boys' room really needs a built-in-robe but we have limited cash to do it. My husband is quite handy and I suggested he build the frame/case and then we just pay to get doors put on but he thinks that the job is a bit tricky and something that would look horrid if you stuffed it up. Any suggestions on the cheapest way to do a BIR? Get a pre-made flat-packed one - eg Ikea and put it together? Get a company out to do it? Pay a local cabinet maker?
