Dishwasher backflow valve
I've been trying to track down a leak on the hot water line to my dishwasher for a while.
I noticed today that the leak was coming from what I think is a back-flow valve. I have attached an image of the backflow valve.
The leak is coming from one of the two holes on the unit itself. The attached image has an arrow pointing to the hole that is leaking. The other arrow indicates the direction of flow.
I am unsure of the purpose of the two holes on the valve. It is a slow leak that usually occurs when water is flowing through the valve.
Questions... Is this a backflow valve or a pressure/flow limitor? (The arrow on the valve makes me assume it is a backfloaw valve). Why would it be leaking? I assume I need to replace the valve?
