Silicon Chip mag - mains home wiring article
/flame on
Australia's Silicon Chip magazine has a good feature this month - an article written specifically to assist New Zealand homeowners undertake their own mains wiring tasks.
It's available in your local Australian newsagency right now.
It's written with the Australian and New Zealand (AS/NZS 3000) wiring rules in mind, of course.
This month's article is on how to do your basic lighting tasks - switch removal, replacement, adding switches, and two-way switching in New Zealand homes.
Very useful resource for New Zealanders contemplating their own home electrical work, where the Australian and New Zealand Wiring rules apply, just like they do in Australia.
I suggest that all you New Zealanders currently holidaying in Australia rush out and buy a copy to take home with you, so that you can undertake your home wiring tasks safely and in a workman like manner!
Of course, even though our wiring rules are the same, you are not allowed to do this in Australia; so don't try this at home!
