I want to lay a new hardwood floor over an existing hardwood floor that is not suitable to sand back and polish. Do I need to put any sort of underlay between the floors or should I just go directly over the top? I am going to do concealed nailing and am laying kiln dried blackbutt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
