Bathroom flooring - different?
We need to restump, and this will necessitate removing the floorboards because there's no access otherwise. I've been told that we probably won't be able to refit the boards that are currently there because of the damage done when they're lifted. So it looks like we'll need to replace the floor.
Our longer term plan is to move the bathroom and kitchen from the back of the house (slab) into the middle, which is the bit being restumped. Longer term means about 18 months or so.
If we put down new flooring now, and then move the bathroom and kitchen to that place later on, are we going to have to replace the flooring again? Or can we more or less have the bathroom & kitchen built on top? Obviously the plumbing would need to go under there, but will that require the rip up and replace again?
Cheers
Tim
