Short stretch of T&G gluedown
Hi there
I have a small question for the flooring experts...
I have two upstairs rooms done with floating floor, ending at the doorways with an expansion gap covered with T piece.
From the doorways I have a 180cm long hallway to the first stair (down). The floorboard supplier gave me T&G boards with glue to stick it down. I am sticking down onto old floorboards. Thankfully the old boards run across the hallway so I can lay my new boards lengthwise which will look better.
My question is, do I need to cut up the boards to make a staggared "brickwork pattern" or can I just lay the entire 180cm boards side by side for this stretch of hallway? If I have to cut the boards then I'll have some work to do to make a tongue at the ends to fit the stair nosing piece (which has a groove ready for a tongue)
Hope my question made sense,
Thanks in anticipation
Stu
BTW the boards are 1830x96x14mm strandwoven bamboo
