Painting a stained timber floor - Larry, Gaza?
Hi Guys,
We are looking at painting a timber floor in our house. Larry you remember the stained radiata in the back room? The plan is to eventually lift the radiata and replace it with a hardwood like the rest of the house, however in the meantime SWMBO and her minions have decided we should look at painting the floor - country cottage style.
The question is, can I paint the floor straight over the stain? With a lime wash, tinted poly? (I still have 20 litres of that Polycure stuff)
I probably wouldnt do it if it required me resanding the floor - not worth the trouble as we will eventually replace the floor anyway.
Suggestions?
Cheers
