Oiling Merbau Deck
Hey Guys,
Well after 18 months my deck is almost complete. For those of you who dont remember i used steel stumps, bearers and joists with 90mm X 19mm Merbau.
It is all layed and ready to clean and oil however i need some advice on which oil to use and also how many coats and also the best way to apply the oil.
The merbau is fairly dry as most of it has been in the weather for about 4 to 6 months.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also i will post some pics after oiling.
EDIT: I will be using Utemad's cleaning solution as it sounds great and from the pics it seems to do the job. I am interested in knowing what the difference is in using spa n deck in comparison with something like cabots natural decking oil.
Utemad your my man if you get time can you give me a run down of the pro's and cons of each please champ?
