Hi all, as a carpenter with over 25 experience I keep getting asked to do decking jobs, it would seem that decking is the go at the moment.
I've done about 6 decks over the last few months and I have a couple of questions for the decking pros out there.

1- I've always drilled and screwed my decks, as a professional I reckon this is the way to go....but its very time consuming, I timed myself recently and found that I can only cut and fix around 10 square metres per day. (thats purely fixing the planks, not including any structual work)
Now Im thinking about using a coil nailer to save some labour time, but I spoke to another chippie the other day and he reckons I'll still have to pilot drill hardwood planks before I nail. Is this the case? (I know I'll have to pilot the joints)
My next job is Batu into TP.

2- any recommendations as to which coil nailer to go for if indeed I go down this route?

Heres a pic of my last job
