New low level deck project
Hi guys, after some reading of the great posts here re low level deck on concrete I have just about all the info I need. A few questions though.
My deck will be 5200x5100, using 140x22 Merbau decking ($6.95lm @ Bunnings) with 2 x 90x45 TP glued n bolted together as joists (450mm centres) dynabolted with no bearers as I only have a 115mm - 170mm room to play with to the top of the deck.
1. Will 10g 75mm dynabolts be enough or should i go to 100mm?
2. As I will need approx 120+ dynabolts what quicker/easier solutions are there re fixing to concrete.
3. Should I span fixing the joists to the concrete @ 600mm?
4. I will have a border around the perimeter of the deck, my doorway is resessed in approx 80mm from the brick wall of the house. Should I start a full width board from the brick wall/border or start from the doorway which means I will have to cut 80mm into the second board?
5. Should I use 12g 65mm Type 17 SS square drive screws or 10g 50mm?
Here is a diagram
Thanks
