Sanding existing paint prior to painting?
I want to change the colour of my walls. I have heard I should give the walls a light sand prior to painting so that the new paint sticks better, but is this necessary given that the existing paint is in very good condition? Or will simply washing the walls down with sugarsoap be enough?
Also, is it still necessary once I start painting to lightly sand again between each coat?
