I am currently working on the longest ensuite renovation known to man.

Many moons ago I decided to pull down the ceiling and replace it because the paint was chipping. Turned out to be easier to replace the lot.

Today I finally got around to painting the ceiling. I started with a sealer/primer coat. However, while I was painting some small areas the size of a 5 cent piece peeled off.

The peeling is due to the top coat. It looks like it got wet with paint and small areas started peeling off because the top coat because "soggy".

My question is.. Is this normal? Did I simply over apply the paint? Will the sealer/primer coat adhere properly after drying? (I.e will the top coat regain it's adhesion). Is there something wrong with the top coat? Will I have paint chipping problems down the track? :oo::oo: Is there any preventative thing I can do now?
