gday all,this is ntdwwoodworking but am not sure I am in the right posting but, here goes. I have bought a very large black plastic tub od860mmx620high. I intend to use this as a water feature in my front courtyard. Did think of making it look like a barrel but not over awed by this idea. Wondered about painting and adding texture but I have no inspiration no ideas.Thought I would pick your brains so any help please.Thanks in advance billym

Painting and texture may fall of a plastic flexable thing. I think some sort of wooden edging around it. What about making the top wide enough to sit on with a wine or a tinny in hand while watching the goldfish swimming round. and water lilies of course.

Gday tealady:many thanks for your reply.You make a very good point about paint falling off. Good idea about the seat and will take that on board if I can make it fit in the space.Will keep looking for ideas but will keep your advise on hand. Many thanks billy
