Red Morel
Purchased some nice burl pieces at the Adelaide WW Show, including Euc sp, Rose Myrtle and one that looks very nice but I have never heard of, Red Morel.
Can anyone enlighten me on this species. Google only came up with one hit, which didn't tell me a lot.

red Moral is normally sold out of WA and in collected East of Perth as far inland as 1500-2000Km ,,
And strangle enough Red Mallee is collect West of the East coast as far inland as 2000Km - If your getting a map there is about 500-800Km of overlap.. so personally I believe them to be one and the same timber.

Hi Fred. You'll do better with Google using the spelling "Morrel"
Link here to the Forest Products commssion web-site which has a brief description of it.

I've seen a bit of it through our shop (usually carved bowls) and its a nice looking timber.
