    Default Hello from Brisbane

I've ended up on this forum when searching for answers on many projects that I've done over the years so figured I should join up on the forum.

I have a never ending list of building projects (as I'm sure we all do) that I started adding to when we built our house 8 years ago.

Recent projects have been retaining walls and a sandpit for the kids. Most of the current projects are of the landscape/outdoors variety.

My focus is now turning to the new gazebo by the pool with slats on the West side to be installed and I'm thinking of a long bench with storage space with built in esky (for beer) and bar fridge (for more beer) etc hidden behind hardwood decking timbers or some such.

So I went out and got myself a new drop saw since that will be called for. Any excuse to get a new tool that isn't already in the shed.

Next step is to pick the wood and size slats that I am going to use to screen out the sun on the west side. Gazebo has 15cm hardwood posts and exposed hardwood beams. I'm keeping the hardwood colour natural so kwila decking boards might be a bit dark for the job. Anyway I'll start looking around at the timber yards and get some ideas. When I need some advice I'll be sure to jump online.

    Cheers to all,
    Andrew
