Have you ever felt like slapping somebody silly?
My sister and her husband have a big "I earn lots of money and look at me,I'm sucessful"syndrome. But their problem is that they don't earn heaps of money. They traded in a crap Magna, got a loan,to buy a tiny 20yo BMW! If it breaks down they will have to take out a second mortgage to fix it.The funny thing is that bil will crow about the fact that he has a beemer that is worth a lot less than my runaround Falcon station wagon.I'm not even gonna tell him what the wifes car is worth.

Don't let others bother you. Life is just too short.

What does it really matter, he's happy with his dilusion, and if the bubble bursts it still wont effect you directly. I'd only get worried if it was my hip pocket that might get effected.

I have a 20 year old beemer , but it only has 2 wheels
Your BIL sounds a bit like one of mine , a dill pretenious about stuff all and you get to pay , write the maget off to experiance , smile and enjoy life and let your bil bask in his own importance , who caresAshore
The trouble with life is there's no background music.

Steve. When you find people like that that are infuriating you and trying to drag you down in my opinion it is best to put the shutters up and move on.
I realize that it is your sister, but sometimes, we have to run our own race, and overcome our own individual problems.
If they are getting to you, they have discovered your achilles heel.. ( Which we all have. ) So toughen up, nicely, and find something that you can convert your energy into.
