Default WOODWORKING QUIZ for 25 AUG 04

    Good Evening Friends,
Ever find the time when you wished you had a board stretcher?
Well now you can make one if you know the correct steps.

Can you think of what these steps are?

    Respectfully,

Sit the stretcher in front of the Australian Olympic telecast. It will be bored in no time at all.<yawn>

I don't know where you can get a board stretcher, (I didn't know they existed till now!) but since I often seem to cut things a few millimetres short, it'd be a fantastic tool to have and would save a lot of waste.

I'm waiting with bated breath for more details,

    Cheers,

Cut the board lengthwise at an angle - ie diagonal or that direction. Then move one piece lengthwise against the other, and reglue. You will then have a longer, but either narrower or thinner, board.

Sorry - I thought this thread would be about getting more disk space for the Bulletin Board.

    Good Evening Friends,
Rather than go into a long explanation on how to stretch a board I am going to post a picture that will explane the whole thing.

    Respectfully,
