If I thought you would like to spend a day playing with timber, maybe even lighting the forge and then eating woodfired pizzas I would offer to host a get together.
If the pizzas do not sound appealing we could always have bickies & dip
Regards,
Ray

If it is to be and Kingsthorpe is a suitable location are there some suggested dates. I'll need a bit of time to shovel out the shed & slash the jungle that passes for a yard.
I'll probably have to do some test tastings of the pizzas in advance as well

Hello all,
Donna I hope you can make it.
Andy you can bring your forge & anvil along if you want. Do you have a project we could do, I was going to make a couple of cala? lillies. I was hoping people would bring along some show & tell stuff to help fill the day.
I've got a couple of wood lathes to play with.
I will provide enough standard pizza dough, pizza sauce, cheese, shreded ham, olives, onion and anything else I think of for toppings. Please feel free to bring along any special toppings or base doughs.
I can't throw the bases, I use a rolling pin to spread them but am willing to learn how to throw them if any one can do it.

This pizza idea sounds great, I'll bring some toppings. I assume BYO drinks.
How are you off for chairs?
Sat or Sun?
I can bring my Ci1 rougher for anyone to have a try on the lathe. I'll also bring my thread chaser in case someone can show me how to use it . I should be able to make a scratch awl and making knife for door prizes as usual. I'll also be cutting up quite a bit of timber in the next few weeks I have off, so I'll bring some of that too.Neil____________________________________________Every day presents an opportunity to learn something new
