Can Anybody Explain
We were in Las Vegas this week.
Toward the end of Wednesday evening, I'm at a machine (Slot or Reels) with about $1.50 in credit. I'm thinking that when this is gone, I go upstairs to sleep.
SWMBO sits down at the machine next to me. "Oh, I'll put a dollar in while I wait for you." A bit later my $1.50 is gone. SWMBO takes over $7 out of the machine.
She does that all the time. Can anybody explain how or why?

Yes. It is a well-known scientific fact that no matter which machine you play, the machine next to you will always make a payout. If you foolishly move to that machine, the one you were playing will now make a larger payout. The fact that it is your wife playing the machine doubles the chances for a payout and halves your chances for a win.
Like the morning sunrise and the inevitability of taxes, we just have to accept these things.Cheers,

You always want what you can't have and can't get rid of what you've got. All those lousy rules/laws by Murphy etc are the same.
