    Default Maybe not a joke?

Definitely in the 'Truth is stranger than fiction' category.

One of the local Ford dealers just sent me a coupon for new Motocraft (Ford's in house brand) windscreen wipers. These wipers have a new feature called wear indicators.

Unless I'm mistaken, the windscreen is the piece of glass in front of the steering wheel that the driver looks through while operating the vehicle, correct?

Of course. Another example of highfalutin pomposity. Next thing, he'll probably refer to himself as a Ford "dealre."

My windshield wipers already have wear indicators. They just leave streaks on the glass.

they "wear indicator" is probably a bit of rubber in a different colour that shows when Ford figure it's time you bought another set of wipers

I use the same brand of wiper blades as you Joe.

They have never failed to tell me when they need
    replacing.

I used to get that li'l bit of extra use by waiting for the audio reminder to kick in.
