Best brand of filler for Tasie Oak
Can someone recommend a brand of wood filler which matches Tassie Oak well? I tried some of the commonly available ones (Bunnings / K-Mart etc) but they really don't match the Tassie Oak mouldings I've been using at all. Some of them are completely off and closer to Tassie Blackwood.

Timbermate's Teak colour is a pretty good 'Tas Oak' match up.

You can mix your own using a close match out of the Cabot's/Timbermate range and a stain, eg. from a set sold by Carrolls Woodcraft. Tassie Oak varies, so it's luck if you get a good match off the shelf.
I like to go darker than the wood since it appears less obvious than lighter, like a sap line perhaps.Cheers, Ern
