    Default Danish Oil and water

    Hi,

I recently built a window frame to hold glass bricks for a bathroom window. The wood is heart rimu and I finished it with several coats of Danish oil. Beautiful colour but unfortunately it is not coping with the steamy conditions or ocassional splash and the wood is staining. Can anyone suggest a solution that is not polyurethane. I wondered about Tung oil but have never used it. If I have to resort to polurethane can I overcoat the Danish oil?. Thanks
