Timber book research

Hi All,

I am based in the Uk and am currently researching for a new book I am writing about timber for small scale wood users.

I am visiting Cairns and Brisbane in July and wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of interesting timber sites in these areas. I am particularly interested in sources of supply, conversion mills, forests, drying facilities and of course finished products, on any scale from end user to full blown commercial sites.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.
