What Epoxy
Hi i have a table top for a outdoor setting that has knot holes etc in it that i want to fll. Elsewhere on the forum members mention filling with epoxy -
What epoxy is this and where do you buy it. Brand name would help. I have been to every hardware store and to some paint shops in Ballarat. The recomendations by the "shop experts" have been
no more gaps
araldite $50 for 200 ml pack
cabots resin
a finishing product which is a 2 pack epoxy "liquid gloss" clear glass like pour on finish $19 for a 250 ml kit
I want to finish with Feast watson weatherproof after using this
The table is to go with these seats and i estimate i need about 1/2 cup to fill holes/depressionsregards

Hi Calm I use fibre glass resin that you can usuly get at most hardwares, put in a tiny bit of wood stain, darker, walnut or black so it looks like a natural gum line. If you put too much it slows the curing of the epoxy. You can get the standard fibre glass epoxy resin or there is a clear for doing more arty things, you know a clear blob with a beatle or something in the middle.

Diggers Casting and Embedding Resin is what you'll be looking for, comes in a small 500gm can, also don't forget to buy some Catalyst for it as well. Bunnings stocks it in the paint section and you normally need to get the Catalyst from behind the counter at the paint section to.
Best done in layers of 10mm or otherwise it shrink to much and possibly crack.Cheers

Filig holes
Careful around that catalyst Calm, it's nasty stuff. Do job out doors with a fan set up to blow fumes well away fro your face.
Great choice of finish for some great looking work.
