Craig - Getting the #70 tram it will almost drop you at Carba Tec's front door.
You catch the tram in Batman Avenue (NOT FLINDERS ST). Batman Ave runs alongside the Yarra River, is between Princes Bridge and Flinders St, it runs off St Kilda Rd outside the station.

Thanks for that.

Sorry Neil
Batman Ave does not exist there any more - it is now a park,
The tram now goes along Flinders St
Craig
I should have mentioned that if you buy a ZONE 1 ALL DAY FULL FARE Metcard for $5-00 you will be able use all the tram network and most of the train network for all dayTom
"It's good enough" is low aim

Craig,
Give me a bell when you are in town and if you are interested in a beer in my shed.
I will put the mortein out of sight if you find it offensive.
PM me if you want further details.

Thanks for the tip about the Metcard Tom, I would have just bought singles
Wood Borer, Camberwell? I'm just getting my head around Richmond
Yeah a beer would be good if we can arrange it. I'll PM you my itinerary.
Cheers

Craig,
We live about 50m from the tram line that takes you into the city (Flinders St) and about 2 minutes walk to the station that takes you into the city (Flinders St). Our house is 10Km East from the city.
Not that many power tools in my shed but a few hand planes and other hand tools plus plenty of cobwebs and shavings also examples of works in progress.

Actually, Eastie has offered me a lift, he reckons that he's happy to drink your beer.

Eastie is most welcome to drink my beer but I would be very careful driving with him - I won't say anything else because I don't want to further ruin his already tattered reputation
Eastie works in the city area and would probably drive almost past my place to get home so that would be a good arrangement.
I will PM Eastie with my details.
How does the Monday night sound?

Sorry about the bum steer. BLOODY MELBOURNE things keep changing. Every time I look there's something different even Collins & Bourke Sts which run parallel to each other about about 250 meters apart now intersect at a point where there used to be nothing but wasteland.
Guess I'd better stop handing out helpful info to unsuspecting tourists. You could end up anywhere.
Best thing to do is cop the free ride with Eastie, you could do a lot worse. He's a really nice bloke. Even if he is inclined to imbibe a little.

Craig,
I have a bottle of Neil's hard shellac in the shed if we run out of beer, the use by date is still current, personally I don't like drinking it straight so I cut it with metho but Eastie ..... straight down the gullet.
So if you stop off at Carbatec make sure Eastie puts the shellac in the back of the car.

Borer,
I prefer my metho tepid, and I’ll only drink 100% IMS. I don’t like ice cubes as it waters it down and clouds the finish. Haymes make a nice drop

That's OK Eastie,
You can hold the bottle above my gas heater in the shed to take the chill off it.
What bad manners we have though forgetting about our interstate visitor, how do you take your metho Craig?
