colorbond cladding info needd

Hi all,
We are installing corrugated colorbond as an external cladding and are confused about the type of flashing that is used where the colorbond meets a window frame. Can a right angle corner be used so that one edge overlaps the exterior of the cladding or does it need to be a U shaped piece.

Colrbond angle should be fine.

Along the sides, but need to think about top and bottom too!!!

Thanks chipman, much appreciated. Did you make up the flashing yourself? What about color matching? the iron runs horizontally, so the ends are diffferent to your diagram

No, I didn't bend it myself. I would be happy to do little jobs but for this sort of thing your better off getting a company to bend it up for you in the same colour bond as your walling. IE if you used Bluescope or Lysaghts, find a local distributor and they will organise custom flashings for you. Why not get back to the people who supplied you with the sheeting. They will be able to put you in touch with a supplier of custom flashings.

If you are running sheets horizontally, it won't make much difference... just turn what I said by 90 degrees. The U shape will still be the easiest. I am sure that if you find a good supplier, they will even help you design your flashings.
