Advice needed on regs - property lines, fence
I'm hoping somebody will have been through this and can give me some help re property lines and structures built near a neighboring fence.
I live in SA so I'm sure the regs are specific for this State.
Does anybody know (or can tell me where I can get them) the building code/restrictions for situating a large water tank (or any structure for that matter) near a shared fence. I can't tell you the Ltrs but this tank stands about a meter above the fenceline which is about 6 foot high.
This tank is also almost touching the fence too.
I know there are regs about structures etc and property lines in terms of height etc but i haven't got a reply from my Council.
My neighbors have just put this huge tank and garage in, right up against the fence which pees me off as that was our only sky view from the family room.
I've googled it and can't find anything for SA!
Cheers

In NSW this would be a local Council matter. The Council website should have something under their Building section regarding the requirements for placing a water tank. In my area a tank up to 16,000 litres can be installed without needing separate Council approval providing it is more than 400 mm off the boundary - does not say anything about height though...

I think Flagstaff Hill comes under Marion Council, 5 years ago the regs were either on the boundry with mutual consent, or no less than 600mm clearance so as not to create a vermin trap, if you are under Onkaparinga as I am now I think the clearance is 1m, give them a call and they will tell you over the phone
