    Default ANZAC Day

    Is anyone marching in Melbourne for ANZAC Day?

    I will be one of the drivers for those that cant walk, so if any of you are marching will try and get attached to your regiment
    I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

    Default ANzac Day

    The older I get the more I try not to miss Anzac Day.
    My grandfather fought at Galipolli and then in France where he was gassed.
    I will be visiting Galipolli Later in the year when we go overseas.
    My father and two of his brothers were Rats and also fought in NG. Dad was flown into battle in a glider at Rabaul. He was not impressed with the flight!!
    The thing that has impressed me a great deal over the last few years is the number of parents taking their, often very young, children to even the dawn service. It's great to see.!!

    I'll be marching in Hobart. Maybe will see a few woodies there.

    I'm with you artme.
    It is definitely good to see the younger ones there, so that the 'memory' never dies out.
    Hubby has been in the service for 24years (and still going at it) and every dawn service, I never leave with a dry eye.

    I hate to be a party pooper people but One thing I cannot stand is Pubs and clubs opened on Anzac day the only clubs that should be opened is RSL's and that it! Pubs are full of young adults to the eyeballs lookin for fights and gambling some bettin $100+ on a game of two-up, now someone tell me this has anything to do with the traditional game of Two-up??except create Fights ... Anzac Day to some is nothing more than a up they should have more RESPECT to the Men and Women who served for this country and sacrificed thir lives so we could live the life we live now!!!!
