Agw
What's AGW?
I get the 'Global Warming' bit, but what's the A stand for? Aggravated? Aggravating? Argumentative?
Seriously, what does it stand for and can I buy it at Woolies?
Richard
This actually a serious question because it's an acronym that's used so much that people all assume you know what it means ... and I don't. However, the serious side of this question shouldn't prevent us having a bit of fun either, so please don't go assuming I'm 'playing down' global warning, such zealotry in this thread may lead to extra work for the moderators

Anthropogenic, created by humans.

Rather than say "Human induced Global Warming" Anthropogenic Global Warming.
But most commentaters now prefer to use the term simply "Global Warming" or "Climate Change" you see dropping the Anthropgenic part of the title take the focus off the "Human caused" part. That is so the term AGW doesn't cause middle ground thinkers to start questioning why they are being blamed for a perfectly normal climatic process.
Then the change to "Climate Change" is used to distance ourselves from being committed to only a "Warming" climate. See, now not only have we droped the "human induced" part but also the "warming" part as well.
This now gives us many more options to scare people sh**less so they will toe the line without question.
