Pergola
Hey all,
I've just completed a merbua deck at home. My next task is to cover the deck with a pegola.
The deck is 6m long and 4.4m wide, i have a post on each corner and one half way down on the longer run. So in short my bearers will be 6m long with a post support at the 3m mark and my joists will run across the 4.4m span.
So my question is; what size bearers and joists should i be using? and what spacing should be between the joists? Treated pine will be the timber of choice.
Any help would be much appreciated.

What type of structure overhead?
Flat roof? Gable? Anything on the roof? (laserlight/reeding). Attachment to house on other side?
A bit more info and you will get more help.

i would order:
6/3.0 90 x 90 TP H3 LOSP posts
4/3.6 240 x 45 TP H3 LOSP bearers
15/4.8 140 x 45 TP H3 LOSP joists @450 cts
8/4.8 70 x 45 TP H3 LOSP battens @ 900 cts
plus associated gal hardware
the lengths are fairly tight and dont allow for much if any waste
