    Default Computer nerd wanted

    Computer nerd wanted.

I did a search last week for Amber, no not a girl called Amber, but the fossilised tree resin.
Anyway, one site I visited had thumbnails of Amber, and when I clicked on the thumbnail, this itsy bitsy window opened up, so small you couldnt see the item.

The moron who designed the web site must have been a midget.
Now every time I click on a piccy, even on this BB, I get this midget window opening up.

How do I make them open in a BIG window?
And make it stay that way?

    Al

I hate it when some mental midget set up its site so that it F***'s with your browser settings!

A few diagnostic questions - is there a little arrow in a box at the bottom rt. hand side of the pic? There is a 'feature' in IE that can be turned on & off from the options menu, which makes pictures appear reduced to fit a window size. Can't r4emeber what its called, but rampage around in there & it will go away.

Does the whole of IE open as a midget screen but with the enlarge, reduce & close buttons intact? If so, get the IE window to an intermediate size - where you get the button with the 2 overlapped boxes on the top bar - then click on the corners of the screen and drag them to a suitable size. Close IE while it is the right size & it will 'remember' that size. Do the same with the 'maximize' setting & IE will open thereafter in full screen mode.

Otherwise you are in trouble. or at least beyond my limited skills. Try clearing the 'cookies' and 'history' records, and possibly running 'search & Destroy' &/or AdAware to clear out a few more spiders.

If all else fails, save your 'favorites' file from 'Windows' in another directory & re-install IE from a magazine disk, then copy your 'favorites' file back over the new one.

One more thing that might work is to right click on the Internet Explorer icon (probably in the 'tray' below)
Then select 'Properties' and from there the drop-down 'Run:' Maximised

May not fix your particular problem, but worth a try.

If all else fails, don't use IE ever again.

Use Safari.....but you'll have to buy a Mac to do this .

    Hope you can fix it.

The box said "Requires Windows 2000 or better".. so I bought a Mac.

    Ok fixed, thanks brslee.
I did the drag to size thing, then closed the window.
Now all windows open full sized.

    Thanks, Al
