Which of these makes it the Best State?
When the SA state bank fiasco was going on i saw a rego plate that read

    South Australia
    State of Shock

I reckon Tasmania is paradise, especially for a woodworker. If it wasn't for the fact that I have elderly parents who need frequent visiting/assistance, I'd be there in a flash.

Never too hot. Lots of great timber. Relatively cheap housing, so you can afford to invest in a workshop. A well developed arts and crafts infrastructure. What more could you want?

mate I was born at Ipswitch.

    Travelled all over the place.

I prefer the Victorian climate so I live down south.

but everywhere in oz has its own special appeal

I had to laugh Cliff, as when I read your response, the jingle "I've been everywhere, man" just popped into my head
