How to attach a wooden sill?
Hi,
I'm trying to understand the best way to attach a wooden sill (nosing) to a timber frame window. Window is in a WA house, so double brick, window also has revelles (to attach architraves)!
I have the brickwork under window cut out ... do I just put some wedges under and jam the siill up to the window, if so, what to I do to prevent sliding out, nail through frame down into sill?
Am I making sense or rambling on?
Thanks

normal practice is to wedge it up with some liquid nails and packers and finnish the bottom underside with some quad
there should not be any probs with it sliding out unless you let kids jump up and down on the sill some parents do allow this
