Thread: Shellac mixing mistake - Help

G'day Red,
The sanding belts I use are 240 grit, 75mm X 533 SupaCheap brand and I get 4 out of a belt for my sanding block - last much longer than paper and as a starting sand they are great. Have also used some of my Makita sized belts which are 100mm X 610mm on a larger block.
Was in at SupaCheap yesterday and was annoyed to find the usual W&D paper [made in Australia which is better than the elcheapo stores which have what appears to be dodgy labelling of the grits and the paper is easlily torn] has gone up in price - the sticker says $1.24 per sheet - when I took 12 sheets [6 x 1200 and 6 x 1500] to the counter and voiced my displeasure at the approx 25% increase in price I was told that that was not the correct price and that the register scanned them @ $1.10 each - when asked how come? the enlightened answer was "Dunno." So I paid and shut up.
So expect yours to rise if it hasn't already. Will need to look more closely at 's link.
Regards,
Bob
