    Default first project almost finished....

Heres my first project just about ready for its finish. I've used blackwood & Tassie oak with a tassie oak base. I've sanded the lazy susan to 320 by orbital sander & i'm planning on a light sand by hand to 600 then the finish.
I'd like to try to keep the timber colours true in the finish. It also needs to be water, oil & heat resistant.
I don't have a spray gun so i'll be doing it all by hand.
Any sugestions on finish? Also a little info on doing the finish would be good too.
Whatever finish type i go with it needs to be fairly tough as these things tend to get a good work out.

floor finish is tough - use the waterbase clear poly or whatever poly you like
i found the wb clear poly to be pretty good at not yellowing
but i would sand up to 600 at least

if you want a mirror shine you got a fair way to go

nice looking job by the way
that will earn you some extra brownie points from SWMBO

Nice work. More pics when you have finished would be great.
    Reality is no background music.
