I didn't use the rail for the base cabinets, as they don't need as much support and I managed without using a rail, but it could be done if it had to be i guess.

Just spent the last few hours cutting all new cover panels to fit the wall cabinets, a bit of a hassle but at least I know the cabinets are secure.

Default Ikea Australia guide to kitchen installation

    Hi
Ikea finally put installation guides for Australia on their website sometime last year. Here is the link.
    http://www.ikea.com/ms/en_AU/complet...llation_1.html

I had a cabinetmaker install my upper cabinets and he put rails inside (top and bottom) to attach to my wall (I have full brick not plasterboard). I installed the base cabinets, attached a wall strip for the base cabinets to sit on so I only used Ikea legs at the front and the end of the run. Thye cover this in the link. There was some earlier discussion on the forum about a few variations, Celeste had some good info on how she installs her Ikea kitchen.

    Cheers
