How to flash base plate of laundry frame?
Gidday
What should I use to flash the base plate of the timber frame for my laundry?
The walls will be done in Villa board but I would like to protect the base plate form water damage.

Fish,
Are you going the put a skirting board along the bottom of the wall, or tiles, or nothing and are you going to place anything on the floor eg. tiles, vinyl raw concrete etc.
The reason I ask is if you are going to tile the floor and have a row of tiles along the bottom of the wall, you could tank the floor with flexible paint on sealer.

Thanks for your reply.
I was not going to put a skirting board probably just take the villa board down and run a bead of sealant along. Water proof and paint the wall. Though I will put a tiled splashback along the section of wall with the tub.
I guess the skirting board is just another layer to soak up water. But I will see how it looks with a skirting board. Probably look a bit unfinished without
I may do the floor with a concrete stencil but my other half is looking at vinal.
I have looked back an found a good thread that mentions running some flashing plastic and lots of sikaflex which looks like the go.
