    Default return air filter

    Can anyone tell me the type of filter for return air for use in ducted heating.

    How to clean?

    Where to buy in Melbourne?

    The filter on mine looks like some sort of wadding material in a metal frame.

    I take it outside every now and again and give it a good hosing.

    Not sure where you'd get a new one from though, a heating installation company may be able to point you in the right direction.

    take it to a filter shop.

    To clean give it a vacuum.

    Isn't your airconditioner reverse cycle?

    You can only hose wash the filter material so many times then it falls apart
    Usually held in a metal frame with a rubber bead strip and is easy to replace.
