Paint on aluminium window frames
Previous owner has painted the window trims in some sort of crappy stain or varnish or something. I am currently painting over the wooden trims, but dont know what to use to clean the aluminium frames, as he has painted half of these as well. Looks like its been there for a while.
Can anyone tell me the best thing to use, which wont hurt the frames.
Thanks

Not an expert....but
Have used metho to take off old acrylic paint before. You know it's acrylic if metho takes it off. I would try a gently scraping and then try metho. If the metho doesn't work then it's not acrylic. I guess there would be a paint stripper that would do it, but I'd be worried about nearby paintwork - unless you're about to do that too
peterThe other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".
