Heritage Fencing is a twenty five-year-old business of a “Boutique” nature that specialises in reproducing authentic designs in genuine hardwood. We work in conjunction with the National Trust, State Heritage, Numerous Heritage Architects and the subsidy programs of many local councils. Our Domestic work is mostly based in the eastern suburbs. We are booked with work often extending 12 weeks in advance.

We propose to offer a traineeship position with a view towards a potential apprenticeship or a more mature skilled Trades assistant and perhaps ultimately the creation of a subcontracting position. We believe “in house” training to be the only reliable avenue.

We require a person who has the desire to work within a business that strives towards the top end of its market. An individual who has a willingness to achieve high standards. The trainee’s time would be split between working in a workshop learning to shape and produce a wide variety of featured posts and picket patterns and onsite installation. On site the trainee would work with a qualified carpenter installing a broad range [1500 + designs] of historic fences.
